Who We Are
The Academy of Blanchard is a school like no other! We do school differently, developing 21st century skills in students necessary in today’s competitive job markets. High school students are given the opportunity to attend career tech or college classes during the school day. Every student graduates our school with a life plan that they present at graduation. Student success starts early! We foster learning and skills necessary for life from Pre-K onward!

Students prepare for their life journey through collaborating, adventuring, and rigorous personalized learning. With the guidance of our teaching talent, students develop a strong sense of self, while creating a personal plan for their lives. Every student meets with a life-planning coach and graduates with college and career experience. Multi-age
Classrooms
Our school is organized a little differently than others. Instead of each grade being secluded in their own classrooms, we have open learning studios organized around a central activity space. We have learning suites for Pre-K, lower elementary, upper elementary, middle school, and high school.
Outdoor
Classrooms
A huge part of our mission is outdoor and ecological education. Our facility on six acres will feature an extensive outdoor space. Our plans include walking trails, a bike path, and a natural pond. We will have a mud kitchen, climbing wall, and a few typical pieces of playground equipment. We will be planting over a hundred trees on our property to hopefully become an Arbor Day Foundation Tree Campus. We will also have a garden and orchard to teach about our food system and healthy food. Pavilions, picnic tables, and seating areas will serve as outdoor classrooms, both for academic lessons and nature education.
The outdoors is beneficial for mental health and focus. We will be outside, come rain or shine!
